"Running Out of Titanium White" by Susan Flanagan Artist Statement - Careful observation and tactile skills are a requirement of my profession as a physical therapist and now in my second career as a pastel artist. Almost any subject can interest me, but landscape and still life are the primary subjects for my pastel paintings. I am an active member of the Plein Air Painters of Chicago-SW and the LaGrange Art League. I am published in the book "How Did You Paint That? 100 ways to paint Landscapes, Vo. 1."
