"Impromptu Recital" by Mary Rochelle Burnham Description & Awards - 2010 GLPS National Exhibition Bronze Medal Award Artist Statement - As a four year old child who decided that her life would be richer if she could bring calmness, beauty and order into her vision of the world, making art has always been an intensely personal, emotional and solitary experience for me. After a lifetime of studying art, I am still striving to achieve this goal of serenity through my paintings and hope that the viewer may share in my vision.
