"Sandia Mountain - above Albuquerque" by Marilyn Witt Artist Statement - Growing up on a farm in Indiana has given me a love of nature and the beauty of the land. This has been the inspiration for many of my landscapes. I love to study how light and shadow play on shapes and forms. I also enjoy painting figurative and urban scenes and capturing the emotion of character of everyday life at home and on my travels to other places. The greatest compliment is when someone sees my painting and says. "I feel drawn to this place".
