"Girl Writing" by Carol Brauer Schmidt Artist Statement - My artwork emerges from the child in me who loves color and the feel of making marks on paper. Shapes motivate me, and my enjoyment comes from exaggerating and simplifying these shapes in color, form, texture, and sometimes a little whimsy.
